and so we begin!!
RA Camp was great. We arrived at this little patch of isolation surrounded by fields and a lake. We stayed in little cabins, and there were a total of 6 showers and 12 bathrooms to share with both between the boys and girls.
We had a lot of hands-on activities, carrying things, hopping, skipping.. all in the wilderness of the great outdoors.
I can honestly say i've never swam in a freshwater lake before, and have to admit the water was freeeeezing ice-cold once i got onto the ramp on the lake and went down the slide.
The sun was really warm though which made up for it. We went canoeing a couple times which i absolutely LOVED. This camp would be ideal for retirement or to just get away from everything and just chill. The great thing about this was that we got to meet everyone and make friends with all the RA's. I can proudly say that i can put a face to almost all the names on the list.
Well, now its back to SMU and most of the people on my floor have moved in.. All are first years.
My first floor meeting is tomorrow, and i hope all goes well.. for this whole year in general!!
As them Canadians have been saying on my floor.. I am PUMPED!! :)
